The reconstruction of a monumental façade at the Klaverstraat Amsterdam executed in A1 (Acrylic One) as traditional materials were not an option.
After 3D scanning and engineering, CNC milled moulds were made to produce unique lightweight A1 panels. An aluminium fixation system was added for strong and easy installation.
Nedcam took care of the engineering, mould making and final production of this complex project. A1 was chosen because of its natural feel & look, freedom of form, lightweight with the use of glass fibre reinforcement, sustainability and excellent fire properties.
The pictures show the process from mould making, A1 façade element production, installation of aluminium fixation system to the final façade.
